China Mining Energy Group (CMEG) is pleased to announce a successful site visit to its newly licensed mineral exploration areas in Ethiopia. The visit was led by Mr. Saddam Raweh, General Manager of Overseas Operations and General Manager of CMEG Ethiopia, as part of the company’s commitment to close monitoring and effective management of its exploration projects.
During the visit, Mr. Saddam Raweh and the CMEG delegation assessed the ongoing geological and geophysical work being carried out by CMEG’s technical teams. The inspection focused on reviewing progress in mapping, sampling, and early-stage geophysical activities designed to unlock the full mineral potential of the licensed areas.
“This visit reflects CMEG’s dedication to maintaining the highest operational standards and ensuring that exploration work is progressing efficiently and in line with our strategic objectives,” said Mr. Saddam Raweh. “We are pleased with the progress made so far and confident that our exploration activities will lead to significant discoveries that will contribute to Ethiopia’s mining sector and economy.”
The field teams presented detailed updates on the exploration milestones achieved since the commencement of operations earlier. The delegation also discussed next steps for advancing the projects, including plans for expanded geophysical activities, further geochemical surveys, and strengthening community engagement initiatives.
This site visit underscores CMEG’s long-term commitment to Ethiopia’s mining industry and aligns with the company’s mission to bring advanced mining technology, create local employment opportunities, and develop mineral resources in a sustainable manner.
CMEG remains focused on adhering to international best practices, maintaining transparent collaboration with government authorities, and contributing to Ethiopia’s efforts to become a leading destination for mining investment in Africa.
